In this project, we removed mold that had appeared inside a summer cottage built from OSB sheets. The primary cause of mold growth was insufficient thermal insulation, as the structure was originally designed only for summer use. Additionally, oriented strand boards (OSB) themselves serve as a favorable nutrient medium for fungal growth, which contributed to the rapid spread of mold.

Our team carried out a thorough surface cleaning to remove the mold and then treated the OSB panels with specialized antifungal solutions and protective coatings. This not only eliminated the problem but also significantly reduced the risk of mold reappearing.

To prevent future mold development, we recommended improving the cottage’s thermal insulation, organizing an effective ventilation system, and continuously monitoring indoor humidity levels.
