In this project, our team carried out mercury decontamination after a spill in a residential space. The clients accidentally broke a mercury thermometer and attempted to collect the mercury themselves. However, due to the large contaminated area and lack of necessary skills, they decided to seek professional assistance.
Most of the mercury had spilled under the furniture, making it more difficult to detect and remove. We thoroughly inspected all surfaces using specialized lighting and carefully collected mercury droplets from hard-to-reach areas with specialized tools. Afterward, the affected areas were treated with decontamination solutions that neutralize residual mercury and prevent vapor emissions.
As a result, the premises were fully cleaned and made safe for further use.
